While leveling up each Trading Company is an individual endeavor, leveling up a Guild is a shared experience among fellow Guild Members! The more Guild Members you have sailing in a Guild, the quicker you’ll raise the Guild Reputation and unlock unique Guild rewards!
How to earn Reputation
You can earn Guild Reputation by selling treasure to any Trading Company or completing Hourglass Faction Battles while sailing on a Guild Ship.
That means you will earn Guild Reputation for handing in loot to the Gold Hoarders, Order of Souls, Merchant Alliance, Hunter’s Call, Athena’s Fortune, and Reaper’s Bones. You will also earn Guild Reputation for winning or losing Hourglass Faction Battles for the Guardians of Fortune and Servants of the Flame.
Like Trading Companies, you will earn more Guild Reputation for higher-valued treasure. And similar to the Factions, you’ll gain more Guild Reputation for winning Hourglass Faction Battles than losing. You will also see your Guild Reputation increase each time you earn Guild Reputation like you do with Trading Companies.
The required amount of Guild Reputation needed to level up is balanced for a Guild of multiple Guild Members. Don’t expect to see reputation increases as if you were selling treasure to one of the Trading Companies. The more Guild Members that contribute, the faster Guild Reputation will accumulate. So, you’ll need to work with your fellow Guild Members to raise your Guild Reputation at a reasonable pace.
Guild Emissary
Like Trading Companies, you can raise an Emissary Flag for your Guild. Raising an Emissary Flag lets you increase the flag’s Emissary Grade and boost the Guild Reputation and gold you earn from selling treasure to the Sovereigns.
You can raise your Guild Emissary Flag by interacting with the Guild Emissary Table at the Sovereigns on any Outpost. Your Guild will have access to the Guild Emissary Table once your Guild is at Guild Reputation 15.
After you raise your Guild Emissary Flag, increase its Emissary Grade by picking up treasure, completing quests, defeating World Events, and taking down Megalodons and emergent Skeleton Ships.
Any treasure you sell to the Soveriengs with an Emissary Grade higher than one will increase the amount of Guild Reputation and gold you would have typically received.
Remember, you will only receive the Emissary Grade bonus from selling directly to the Sovereigns!
Distinctions
When your Guild earns enough Guild Reputation by selling enough treasure and completing enough battles, it will gain a level. Reaching Guild Reputation level 101 will unlock a Distinction and reset your Guild Reputation level to 1.
Your Guild can then work toward achieving another 101 levels to unlock the following Distinction. There are a maximum of 10 Distinctions.
You can find your current Guild Reputation and Distinction in the ‘Guilds’ section on the Main Menu or the ‘Reputation’ section of the Pirate Log after you’ve set sail.
Guild Plaque
Your Guild’s name and Distinction level are on the Guild Plaque on every Guild Ship’s main mast for all to see. Raising your Guild’s Distinction will also modify the color of the Distinction medal on the Guild Plaque, making it easier to see how experienced your Guild Ship is.
Alliances
While sailing for a Guild, you will not earn any Guild Reputation for the Guild from treasure sold by crews in an Alliance. You can still receive half of the Gold and Trading Company reputation, just not Guild Reputation.
Like Trading Company Emissaries, Guild Emissary will also not increase when crews in an Alliance sell loot.
Guild Rewards
Earning Guild Reputation and Distinction levels will unlock rewards including Guild Role Outfits and Guild Emissary rewards.
