The Breath of the Sea is a mysterious treasure that you can now find deep inside the Siren Shrines and Treasuries across the Sunken Kingdom.
There are three different types that you can find during your adventures: Sapphire, Emerald, and Ruby.
The Trading Companies are keen to acquire all three Breath of the Sea treasure types as they all hold the same power found inside the Mermaid and Siren Gems.
How to find Breath of the Sea treasure
You can only find Breath of the Sea treasure during an active Coral Message in a Bottle Quest.
The quest will direct you to a Siren Shrine or Treasury that holds the Breath of the Sea. To successfully collect one, you will need to solve puzzles, fight off sharks, and slay Sirens to reach the Coral Plinth that holds the treasure.
You will find a large red Coral Plinth near the end of the Shrine or in the vault of the Treasury. Sitting on this plinth will be the Breath of the Sea belonging to your quest.
Once in your possession, you can sell the Breath of the Sea to any Trading Company for a lucrative reward.
How to start a Coral Message in a Bottle Quest
To start the quest, you must first find a Coral Message in a Bottle. They will appear randomly on island beaches, inside hulls of shipwrecks, and floating amongst Barrels of Plenty.
So, as you sail the Sea of Thieves, be sure to jump off on islands you pass by and scour the beaches for the Coral Message in a Bottle. You’ll also want to shoot over to any shipwrecks or Barrels of Plenty in case a Coral Message in a Bottle is hiding there.
Once you pick one up, the voyage will begin. You can view the quest it gives you from your Quest Radial.
