Where there’s a boar, there’s a wallow! Not only can you find Wild Boars roaming islands across the sea, but you can also find their wallows filled with stolen pieces of treasure!
Boar Wallows
Wallows are mud pits filled with stolen Hunter’s Call treasure that you can find on large islands with Wild Boars. If you spot a Wild Boar, there is a wallow on the island.
While wallows can appear on most large islands, they cannot appear on Marauder’s Arch, Mermaid’s Hideaway, Plunder Valley, Sailor’s Bounty, The Crooked Masts, and Thieves’ Haven. You also wont’ find any on islands in the Devil’s Roar.
Wallows are not guaranteed to be on an island unless you are on the A Pirate’s Boar Hunt Voyage. The Pirate’s Boar Hunt Voyage will always direct you to a large island with a Grand Boar and a wallow for you to find.
To find a wallow, head to the island’s interior, avoiding the beach and caves, as you can’t find wallows there. As you search, keep an eye out for twinkling white lights. The pieces of treasure buried in the wallow will glint from a distance, making the wallow easier to spot.
If you have difficulty locating the wallow, you can use the Wild Boars on the island to lead you there. If you keep your distance and don’t alert a Wild Boar, it will occasionally return to the treasure buried in the wallow. Follow the Wild Boar or its tracks in the ground to eventually uncover the wallow.
Once you find it, you can dig up the five pieces of treasure it holds. Digging up just one will complete the Wallowing in Treasure commendation.
