One of the many commendations you can complete during The Quest for Guybrush Tall Tale is the ‘Sword Master’ commendation. You can start working on the commendation as soon as you clear the fog from Mêlée Island.

If you are just looking to unlock ‘Sword Master’ and use every insult and retort during Insult Sword Fighting, your first step is to complete a circus performance!
Sword Master Commendation
To complete the Sword Master commendation and use every insult and retort during Insult Sword Fighting, you must learn all 10 Insult and Retort pairs. However, before doing that, you must complete a circus performance, receive Insult Sword Fighting training from Captain Smirk, and fight at least eight Ghost Pirates around Mêlée Island.
Fortunately, you will complete these tasks naturally during the Tall Tale as you work on the Trail of the Sword. Once you learn every Insult and Retrot, you must use each!
Insult and Retorts
There are 10 Insults and corresponding Retorts you’ll need to learn and use. You can quickly tell which Insults and Retorts you have yet to use by the yellow dot next to each in the dialogue option list.
