One of the many commendations you can complete during the Dark Brethren Tall Tale is the Secret Waters commendation.
You can complete this commendation near the very start of the Coral Fortress during this Tall Tale.

If you are just looking to complete Secret Waters, you’ll first need to make your way to the beginning water slide!
Reach First Water Slide
There are two water slides during Dark Brethren. One near the beginning of the Coral Fortress and one near the end. The first water slide is where you can unlock this commendation.
Let Captain Jack Sparrow open the locked stone door with the locket and follow him through several small areas. You will reach a point where Captain Jack Sparrow slips backward down a water slide out of sight.
Don’t go following after him just yet!
Hold 'Right' As You Slide
To unlock the commendation, you will need to slide down the water slide while holding ‘Right’. Holding ‘Right’ as you slide down will cause you to take a secret path off to the right of the water slide.
On an Xbox controller, this means holding Right on the left analog stick as you slide down.
On PC, this means holding down the ‘D’ key as you slide down. We’ve heard reports from the tavern that using the ‘Right Arrow’ key for this will not move you to the secret path.
You will eventually end up on the main path of the slide and unlock the commendation.

Holding D on the keyboard isn’t working for me, even though it’s the default keyboard button for right. I’m holding it as soon as I go down the slide and nothing happens. What am I doing wrong?! 🙁
Hmm, that’s so weird. This is the first slide you are trying right? We are Xbox players so we just hold right on the Left Analogue Stick (movement stick). We had heard that you had to hold ‘D’ on the Keyboard when the Tall Tale first came out. Maybe now you hold the right arrow key?
Yup, on the first slide, and I am pressing and holding D. I’ll try the right arrow next time.
My frustration is that I’ve already completed all the commendations on this tall tale except this one. So do I have to keep restarting and sailing back to the Coral Fortress? Or do you know if there is a way to spawn at the beginning of the Fortress?

Yeah, it is tough since you have to sail all the way back to the Coral Fortress each time. I wonder if you could quit your game after sliding down and then rejoining your session? That way you could spawn on your ship and run back over to the slide easily? Not sure if that will work or not. Good luck!
