One of the several commendations you can complete as you clear haunted Sea Forts in the Sea of Thieves is the Master Burglar commendation.
To complete this commendation, you must discover 100 secret stashed treasures on a Sea Fort. To do this, you’ll need to sail to the closest active Sea Fort and start plundering!
Master Burglar Commendation
To complete this commendation, you’ll have to discover pieces of treasure hidden away in an active Sea Fort. Specifically, you need to find and pick up treasure hidden inside the cabinets, cupboards, and crates scattered around the active Sea Fort.
To get started, sail to any active Sea Fort! Active Sea Forts will have raised flags and glow ghostly green from a distance. You’ll also find them filled with feisty Phantoms!
Once you are on an active Sea Fort, scour every floor for cabinets, cupboards, crates, and other furniture that you can open. Once you find a piece of furniture, walk up to it and open its door to reveal the contents inside!
Not every piece of furniture is guaranteed to have secret stashed treasure inside. You can find nothing. Hopefully, instead, you’ll find either a skull, trinket, or Mermaid Gem, which will count towards the commendation.
This is not a crew-based commendation so you’ll need to make sure you are the one to pick up the piece of treasure.
As you search for secret stashed treasure, you might also find the Fortress Store Room Key!
Fortress Store Room Key
The Fortress Store Room Key is a key you can find in any one of the cabinets, cupboards, and crates on an active Sea Fort. This key will open up the locked room on top of a Sea Fort.
Use the key on the door, and the Store Room will open. Inside, you can find extra pieces of treasure that will help complete the Master Burglar commendation!
