One of the many commendations you can complete during the Legend of the Veil voyage is the Master Banisher commendation.
You can only complete this commendation during the Legend of the Veil voyage. Only Pirate Legends can purchase the voyage, so you’ll have to be a Pirate Legend yourself or know a Pirate Legend who can propose the voyage for your crew.
Once you can purchase the voyage, you are ready to work towards completing the Master Banisher commendation!
Master Banisher Commendation
To complete the Master Banisher commendation, you must dispel 25 Haunted Islands. This commendation has five Grades, with the fifth and final Grade requirement being to dispel 25 Haunted Islands.
How to dispel a Haunted Island
To dispel a Haunted Island, you must complete Belle’s Haunted Island Quest during the Legend of the Veil voyage. This quest will allow you to dispel a Haunted Island.
However, you are not guaranteed to get this quest on each voyage. Instead, it is one of several quests you have a chance to experience during the voyage.
If you get Belle’s Haunted Island Quest, completing it will dispel the Haunted Island and progress the commendation.
To complete the Haunted Island Quest, you will need to light the braziers on six Ancient Statues scattered about the island. You will need to track them down using the Enchanted Lantern Belle gives you.
After you have lit six braziers, you must light one more brazier near the island’s center to start an Ancient Ritual. Protect the ritual from waves of Phantoms and a Soulflame Captain to dispel the island and complete the quest.

Servant of the Flame Cutlass
If you dispel 25 Haunted Islands and complete the Master Banisher commendation, you will unlock the Servant of the Flame Cutlass. You can purchase the cutlass from the Athena’s Fortune Hideout once you have completed the commendation.
