One of the many commendations you can complete while you make mischief on the Sea of Thieves is the ‘Hanging with the Enemy’ commendation.
To complete the commendation, you must hang off all the hanging points on an enemy ship.
Depending on the ship type, you will need to hang off a different amount to complete the commendation.
Hanging with the Enemy
To complete the ‘Hanging with the Enemy’ commendation, you must hang off all the hanging points on an enemy ship. Depending on the ship type, the number of hanging points will vary.
A Sloop has six symmetrical hanging points, three on each side. Starting at the back of the ship, you’ll find a hanging point near the helm on both the left and right. Moving forward, you’ll find a hanging point next to each cannon on both sides. And up at the front, there’s a hanging point by each lantern.
A Brigantine has four symmetrical hanging points, two on each side. At the back, near the stairs that lead down to the hull, there’s a hanging point on both the left and right. And near the bow, by the lanterns, you’ll find another hanging point on each side.
A Galleon has ten symmetrical hanging points, five on each side. Starting at the back of the ship, you’ll find a hanging point near the helm on both the left and right. Moving forward, you’ll find four hanging points on each side spaced between the cannons. Closer to the bow, you’ll find a hanging point near the stairs on both sides. And at the very front, near the lanterns, there’s one hanging point on the left and one on the right.
While standing on the ship, approach each spot, Crouch, and interact with the “Hang from Ledge” prompt at all the hanging points to complete the commendation.
You must hang on all the hanging points of the same ship without leaving it to receive credit for the commendation. So, make sure you don’t fall in the water, die, or leave any other way before hanging from every point.
