One of the many commendations you can complete as you paint the sky with Fireworks and Flares is the Gunpowder, Treason and Plot commendation.
To complete this commendation, you must start a fire on another crew’s ship by setting off a firework. To do this, you will first need to get your hands on some Fireworks.
Gunpowder, Treason and Plot Commendation
To complete this commendation, you will first need some Fireworks. The more you can get, the better. You are not guaranteed to light a ship on fire with a single Firework.
Fireworks have a tiny chance of setting any ignitable object ablaze that they collide with, including ships!
You can either purchase Fireworks from the Merchant Alliance at any Outpost or find them in Resource Barrels scattered throughout the Sea of Thieves.
Once you have your Fireworks, load them up into your ship’s cannons and find another crew’s ship. You can also try to do this on a Skeleton Ship. We were able to unlock the commendation by lighting a Skeleton Ship on fire with a Firework.
Once you find your prey, fire away and hope that one of the Fireworks that connects with the other crew’s ship lights it on fire.
The trickiest part is the delay from when you fire to when the Firework leaves the cannon. You will need to play around with when to fire, depending on the waves and other factors.
This commendation is not crew-based. So you’ll need to make sure that you are the one to light the ship on fire.
Is there a correction for this? One of the vids tell that a skeleton ship lit by a firework could count fot the commendation.
Aye! You are right. We found that out after we wrote this guide and forget to update it. Thanks for reminding us!
