One of the many commendations you can complete as you bury and dig up treasure is the Benevolent Benefactor commendation.
To complete this commendation, you must donate a Treasure Stash map that has a huge number of treasures marked. To do this, you will first need to get your hands on some treasure.

To complete this commendation, you will first need to create a Buried Treasure Stash map with a huge number of treasures marked. Once you have created a Buried Treasure Stash map with a huge number of treasures marked, you can post the map to any Quest Board to donate it.
How to create a Buried Treasure Stash map with a huge number of treasures marked
To create a Buried Treasure Stash map with a huge number of treasures marked, you’ll need to bury five different pieces of treasure on the same island. If you bury at least five pieces on the same island, that will count as a huge number.
They can be any treasure you would be able to sell, such as Chests, Skulls, Crates, and Gems. You can either collect the treasure as you sail the sea or purchase five different Commodities from the Merchant Alliance.
Be sure to bury your treasure on any island other than an Outpost. You cannot post maps that lead to Outposts to the Quest Board.
How to donate a Buried Treasure Stash map
With your Buried Treasure Stash map in hand, head to a Quest Board found on the main dock of any Outpost or Seapost. Interact with the Quest Board and go to the My Maps section. From here, you will see a list of all your created Buried Treasure Stash maps.
Pick the map with at least five Xs on it and post it to the Quest Board to complete the commendation. The map you post should have the word “Hoard” in the title of it.
