One of the many commendations you can complete as you sleep and sit your way through the Sea of Thieves is the A New Day commendation. Completing this commendation will unlock the Party Boat Gloves cosmetic.
To complete this commendation, you must take in the view atop the highest peak in The Wilds while the sun rises. To do this, you will need to travel to The Wilds and sail towards Old Faithful Isle.
A New Day Commendation
Sail on over to Old Faithful Isle in The Wilds. You will find the highest peak in the region on this island.
Once you are there, make your up to the center of the island where you will find a large arch. On top of the arch is a rock with a skeleton laying on it. Climb up onto the rock and walk to the North West ledge.
You will be prompted to “Take in the view.” Interact with the prompt, and your pirate will take a seat on the ledge.
You will complete the commendation if you are sitting on that ledge while the sun rises.
When does the sun rise in the Sea of Thieves.
The sun rises at 5 am in-game time. Be sure you are sitting on the ledge at the highest point around this time to unlock the A New Day commendation.
