How to complete every Deed for the A Hunter's Cry Adventure

There are six Deeds you’ll need to complete during the A Hunter’s Cry Adventure. You will meet the requirements for most of the Deeds naturally as you progress through the Adventure. However, you can miss completing some Deeds entirely.

To complete every Deed, you’ll need to travel to the Sea of the Damned, destroy ghost ships, rescue Merrick, and deliver a letter to Serik.

The six Deeds are:

  • Enter the Sea of the Damned
  • Light a Lighthouse Beacon
  • Defeat Ghost Ships
  • Help Lower the Drawbridge
  • Rescue Merrick
  • Deliver a Letter to Serik

Enter the Sea of the Damned

To complete this Deed, you must first start Chapter One of the Adventure.

You can start by first speaking with Larinna at any active Outpost. You can find her in front of the Tavern.

Once you find her, speak with her and choose the BEGIN ADVENTURE dialogue option. Selecting this option will start Chapter One of the A Hunter’s Cry Adventure. Larinna will then direct you to meet with the Pirate Lord on the main dock of the Outpost.

BEGIN ADVENTURE

Head over to the Pirate Lord and speak with him. He will tell you about his plans to save Merrick and open a portal to the Sea of the Damned. You should be able to see the portal from the dock.

Raise your anchor and sail through the portal. You will briefly travel through a Tunnel of the Damned and arrive in the Sea of the Damned. As soon as you reach the Sea of the Damned, you will complete the Deed.

Light a Lighthouse Beacon

To complete this Deed, you must ignite a Lighthouse brazier in the Sea of the Damned. You can work on this Deed during the first Chapter of the Adventure.

Once you have made it to the Sea of the Damned, you will see three Lighthouses surrounding the Twisted Sea Dog Tavern. You can ignite any Lighthouse for this Deed, but if you want to complete the Adventure, we suggest you start with the Northern Lighthouse.

Once you are on the jetty of the Northern Lighthouse, you’ll need to remove the barrier blocking access to the Lighthouse Tower. To remove the magical wall, you need to light the two braziers at the base of the tower with the Flame of Souls.

You can collect the Flame of Souls from the wooden platform on the East side of the jetty.

Once you light the two braziers, the barrier will disappear, and you can make your way up to the top of the Lighthouse Tower. After you’ve reached the top, equip your lantern and ignite the Lighthouse with the Flame of Souls. As soon as you light the Lighthouse, you will complete the Deed.

Defeat Ghost Ships

To complete this Deed, you must defeat three Ghost Ships while in the Sea of the Damned during Chapter One of the Adventure. Before starting Chapter One and heading out to save Merrick, you might want to stock up on Cannonballs from the Outpost.

As soon as you reach the Sea of the Damned, you will see a fleet of Ghost Ships patrolling the Twisted Sea Dog Tavern. Sail towards the Ghost Ships and fire away!

You will complete the Deed when you destroy your third Ghost Ship.

Help Lower the Drawbridge

To complete this Deed, you must light all five beacons with the Lighthouse Towers in the Sea of the Damned during Chapter One of the Adventure. After igniting all five beacons, the capstan that controls the drawbridge will be accessible.

If you make it to the capstan without igniting the beacons, the capstan will have a magical barrier preventing you from using it.

Your crew doesn’t have to be the one to raise the capstan and lower the drawbridge. As long as you are in the Sea of the Damned when it happens, no matter which crew that does it, you will complete the Deed.

Rescue Merrick

To complete this Deed, you lower the drawbridge in the Sea of the Damned during Chapter One of the Adventure. After you drop the drawbridge, you will have access to Merrick.

Then, walk up to Merrick and speak with him. The Pirate Lord will then appear, confront the Dark Brethren, and teleport you out of the Sea of the Damned to safety.

Deliver a Letter to Serik

To complete this Deed, you complete Chapter Two of the Adventure. After completing Chapter One, speak with Larinna again. However, this time choose the COMPLETE ADVENTURE dialogue option.

Larinna will give you a letter to Serik on The North Star Seapost. You can find The North Star Seapost in The Shores of Plenty just East of New Golden Sands Outpost.

Speak with Serik, and you will complete the Deed.
