During one of your many adventures to the Siren Shrines below the sea, you might have come across a mysterious locked door. The door in question will be near a circled triangle—the Gold Hoarder symbol—and a lock on top of a small stone pedestal.

This door belongs to a Forbidden Key Alcove. You can only open it during The Legend of the Sunken Kingdom voyage as the medallion used to unlock it only appears during this voyage.

Unfortunately, if you come across this door while plundering a Shrine without that voyage active, you will not be able to open it up to reveal its contents.

There are three of these Forbidden Key Alcoves across the Sunken Kingdom. One in the Shrine of Hungering, one in the Shrine of Ocean’s Fortune, and one in the Shrine of Ancient Tears.

If you want to crack one of these doors open, you can purchase The Legend of the Sunken Kingdom voyage from Larinna with Doubloons.

However, the voyage is locked behind a commendation. You’ll need to have completed The Mysteries of the Sunken Kingdom commendation before you can purchase the voyage.

To unlock that commendation, you will need to read all 30 journals hidden away across the six different Siren Shrines.

If you need any help finding the required journals, we have you covered! You can check out our Siren Shrine guides article here for help. Each guide will show you how to complete the Shrine and locate every journal along the way.

If you get stuck on the voyage itself, we can check out our guide for The Legend of the Sunken Kingdom voyage here.
